As much as 75% of the soil in your carpet is tracked in by your shoes. Using mats inside and outside will reduce the amount of soil in your carpet. This will save you time and money throughout your carpet's life.

 

Vacuuming removes a portion of dry soil that can reduce the effectiveness of fabric protection and cause damage to carpet fibers, resulting in accelerated wear. According to the Carpet & Rug Institute, vacuuming can remove up to 80 percent of dry soil not caught by mats.

 

It is very important to clean your carpet before it shows soil. Carpet can have 1 pound of dirt per square foot before it is seen. Clean carpet lasts longer because it does not have dirt; which is an abrasive that scratches and dulls carpet fibers. It should be cleaned 1-2 times per year. Most carpet mills recommend the same. Frequent professional cleanings will extend the life of your carpet.
